Plan Deactivation Process Updates
There have been some slight improvements to the plans with regards to how they are activated and deactivated. We have altered the Client Plan tab and the Build Calendar process with regards to deactivating expired plans. This change was brought about mainly to help those who are using the Authorization plan feature, but will be helpful for all who manage plans. The calendar build process will no longer deactivate plans when a schedule is generated out to the End Date. Rather, when you are generating a schedule and the End Date is before the current date, we will prompt you of the plans that will be deactivated. This way you will have easy access to plans until they are truly invalid.
It is important to note that we will continue to restrict visits from being generated past the End Date. Even if the plan is still active, we will not generate visits past the Start and End Dates specified in the plan.
At first this may seem confusing but we assure after a few scheduling cycles you will find this to be more efficient. There has been no change to the way scheduling has been working, except for when plans are deemed inactive. Read below for a full explanation of the changes and how everything works.
Client Plan Tab
We have added the option into the status column on the listing page for the ability to activate or deactivate a plan without actually opening the plan itself.

Clicking the wrench pictured above, you will be prompted to confirm your decision.

End Dates that have passed will show in red on the plan tab. Nothing else on this page has changed, you will still be able to view all plans using the 'Show All Plans' button in the upper right, to see all plans.

Build Calendar Process
Nothing here is changing except for when the plan is deactivating. This will not impact scheduling at all. On the Build Calendar page for any end dates that are in the past, you will see them highlighted in red. If that plan is selected to be generated for a week past the Plan End Date, it will not be generated and a pop-up window will appear showing you the plan that will be disabled (and any others to be disabled as well).
Note: This process will only apply to Authorization plans.
